Climate Action Forum UCC Friday 21st June 19:00

Monday Minister Bruton launched the All of Government Climate Action Plan, following on from this he is arranging a series of road shows to promote the action plan. These events are aimed at a broad range of interests groups and everyday citizens.

The first of these is the event in UCC this Friday, the main event will be a 90 min Q & A with the Minister and a number of panellists –
Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Richard Bruton T.D.,
Prof Thia Hennessey Professor and Chair of Agri-Food Economics in University College Cork, (Moderator),
Dr Jonathan Derham (EPA),
Dr Karl Richards (Teagasc) and
Ruth Buggie (SEAI)

There will also be a small number of information stands with experts from SEAI, EPA, Teagasc available to speak to the attendees before and after the event.The registration and information desks (SEAI, EPA & Teagasc) will be open from 6.15 and the Q&A session is starting at 7pm

Frank, Eileen and Maria Young are going to be there from SHEP Earth Aware and Elders for Earth members are welcome and encouraged to attend.This is the first meeting of the road show and it is not certain what the focus will be or if it is just a pure PR extercise, let's wait and see.
